holly's horrible no-good rotten day

Today has been horrible.

I woke up this morning from a very much unwanted text message that put me in an upsetting mood the whole and only increased later on that evening.

I needed to do laundry and be productive, but then I washed all my jeans at the same time, so I had no pants. Therefore my productiveness was delayed until the dryer was done. I hate that. Productivity is a rare mood to be in.

I had to go to the post office to find a package I sent that FedEx lost. Only to find out that they called some stranger and delivered the package to a different address. Now it's going to take me days to find it.

While at the post office, I locked my keys and my wallet inside the car. I don't have an extra set of keys and my AAA card is in my wallet... in the car. After contacting AAA, they sent someone over... 45 minutes later, after freezing out in the freaking early October snow, they arrived and it took 10 minutes to get my car to start because the engine was too cold and I was low on gas.

I abandoned my other errands I had planned to do and just went home. I couldn't feel the lower half of my body, both hands, or my upper lip. So I just got in to bed and laid there pitifully. My roommate and her overly amorous boyfriend were in the living room, and I kid you not, I could hear suction cups. So that was not awesome, further reminding me of the text I awoke to.

I hardly ate anything. It's funny how self-loathing can really take away your appetite. But now it's 12:08 am and I'm starving.

I give up. I'm going to bed. If tomorrow isn't better? Then I'm staying in bed.

sick day

I'm sick today.

So instead of going to bed at a reasonable time like my mother had insisted, I watched YouTube videos. But they're amazing!!

First: this guy's proposal, aside from being in my backyard of Downtown Disney, is freaking adorable!! Just look at how nervous this sweet guy is! It happened just a few days ago, on the 24th. I wish them the best... even though I have no idea who they are.

Second: These are my future children. I already know I'm doomed to have twins, so I think I have a chance. I happen to love the game Just Dance 2, so when I saw them playing it, I knew I need to recreate these kids for myself. I love it.

graffiti art

You never really see this kind of thing in the streets of New York, but I stumbled upon these amazing photos of different graffiti art. Some of it's really just amazing. Enjoy.

fact

I feel like this when I think about:

packing

moving

having to do homework again

rexburg

flying

last minute errands that I always forget

stupid mistakes I've made

dumb comments that came out wrong

having to say goodbye for a while

having to be an adult

spending money

not having money

not being able to go to Disneyland any time I want

going to the dentist

going back to school with very few friends

everyone getting married (?!)

showers (I know this sounds gross, but I'm getting tired of showering. It takes too much time and I have way too much hair now. Plus then I have to blow dry it and then I'm all hot and sweaty again... I just can't win)

and cats... I really don't like cats

abc's make me think of michael jackson

So M did this on his blog and it looked like fun. So I'm doing it as well.

I'm not a follower. I just like to sneak behind people while they don't notice...

A - Age. I am 21. Soon to be 22. Weird

B - Bed Size. This is so humiliating, but I sleep on a twin. bunk bed. bottom bunk. As soon as I'm out of college I'm going to invest in a full, then NEVER AGAIN!

C - Car. Yellow Submarine. Actually it's a bright yellow ford escape. But it's my favorite car ever. Even though it's been recalled three times, it still runs like a champ.

D - Dog names. Pippin. He's so awesome, he doesn't even need an explanation

E - Essential start your day item - Yoga. I always try to do at least a couple of stretches to wake up my old lady spine and to help my crazy heart wake up in the morning.

F - Favorite color - Red. Always. It conveys so much emotion: sexy, anger, love, etc.

G - Gold or Silver. I used to be only silver. But now I'm really getting into antique gold

H - Height. Ginormous... I think I'm 5'8"

I - Instruments played. I taught myself the piano, then took a couple lessons. Tried percussion and SUCKED. And then I taught myself the Ukulele and ROCK at it. Now I'm teaching myself the guitar.

J - Job. Hahaha. Only the best job ever!! I wear a hawaiian ant shirt with ants on them an work all the Bugs Land rides in California adventures.

K - Kids. Pretty sure I haven't given birth yet. So none. But I want to have at maximum 4. Two of each and closer in age than my siblings are.

L - Living arrangements. Apartment complex. Dorm style (stupid college program). 5 girls in 2 bedrooms. My roommates are the best.

M - Mom’s Name. Jan or Janette.

N - Nicknames. Holly-Hallmark. Beads (brother and Dad's). Puddy (sister's). Holls (Lyss's). Mainly people just call me by my full name...

O - Overnight trips. Never really big on sleepovers until high school. Just give me a comfy bed with an outlet for my fan (I have to sleep with a fan every night)

P - Pet Peeve. Gogurt, yogurt should never be drinkable unless it's expired. Caprisuns, liquid in a bag makes me gag. Cracking joints. Chipped nail polish. Obviously dyed hair

Q - Quote. In the end, everything will be alright. If it's not alright, it's not the end- Anonymous

R - Right or left handed. Right

S - Siblings. 3, although it always felt more like 3 extra parents instead of siblings

T - Time you woke up today. 7:45. On accident. My alarm was for 7

U - Underwear. Lacy, comfortable, and matching!

V - best and worst vegetable. Favorite- carrots. Worst- beets.

W - Ways you run late. Puddling around.

X - Number of x rays had. At least 5.

Y - Year’s resolutions. Running.

Z - Favorite zoo animal. Penguins or the bat house in the Seattle Zoo

yum

I have no idea what these are called. Because I can't read it. But they are my favorite Japanese candies.

My Dad would buy them for me with chocolate and strawberry pocky sticks.

I just ate that whole box... ok, Kelsi helped

photo thoughts

Clever.

I love Wes Anderson movies. Royal Tenenbaums is a really good one. But Fantastic Mr. Fox is my favorite.
Someday I will own chickens. Not because I really like chickens, or I really like eggs... mostly because I just really love the idea of having chickens...

I can't even express myself here
I just love this whole poster. The red is fabulous.
Fantastic shoot. I love it when you look at photos like this and it just clicks... in case it doesn't click for you: it's the woman from The Birds.

This is my favorite quote from Help! (the beatles movie and my favorite movie ever), expect they wrote John's wrong. He says "Well, you're very polite, aren't you?"

diagnosis

uuuuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhh

I'm dying.

I can literally see spots

I hurt from my head down to the tops of my shoulders and randomly the lower part of my back

I feel nauseous

The right hand side of my brain feels too large for my skull and it's throbbing

It hurts to move my head

I can't stand light or noises

What is happening to me?!

I probably have a brain tumor...

guilty

I just bought this

I've lost a lot of weight over the last year. And I have always wanted to get to that point where I felt comfortable wearing a bikini, but I still want to stay modest. And then on top of it, I found this vintage swim suit. So I think I deserve it.

black caterpillars

I used to hate my eyebrows.

I thought they were just HUGE! And on top of that, I happen to have one of the most over-expressionate faces ever. Slut. I can't help it. I don't wear my emotions on my sleeve because they move to my face too quickly.

But I've kind of learned to love them. I'm not a shaver. I pluck my eyebrows. I just recently this year started getting them waxed but that's very rare. It started like this:

I was visiting my Dad and step-mother when Sue asked if I wanted to have a spa day. It was great. We always have a ton of fun on our spa days. We get our nails done and she gets a facial. Well I had just finished my pedicure and the little Vietnamese girl was about to get started on my nails when she kept looking at my face with a strange stern expression.

Finally she waves her nail file around her face and says, "You want eye-brow wax?"
"Uh, no thanks." I would rather NOT have hot wax dripped onto my face and have folicles ripped out so close to my eyes.
Two minutes later. "You not want eyebrow wax? I do really quick."
"Thanks but I'm fine." ok... um still no...
Two minutes after that. "Wax is really good. Cleans it up. No hurt."
"Uh..." Oh MY GOSH! Is there something wrong with my face?! Am I that hideous?!
"... o k ..."
Well, the wax really wasn't that bad. It was relatively great and it really did turn out really good. And then I just tried to maintain it with plucking the odd hairs. And I went back to her to get it waxed again. I'm a fan.

But the point is, I kind of love eyebrows. They really do frame your eyes. And I love mine because they're big and black. They draw more attention on my pale face so I hardly ever wear eye makeup.

And I love the expressions you can do with them! I love to scrunch my eyebrows or raise them really high. Do it. It feels good. And see if you can raise one eyebrow at a time. My brother and I are really good at doing the one eyebrow raise. And my sister is really good at wiggling her eyebrows really fast. I think it runs in the family.

I would love Marilyn's

what the freak!

So on the right-hand side of my blog is something called "Total Pageviews". It's just something funny I put up there so I could see how many times my mother checks my blog per week. Because I was pretty positive that she was one of the only people who looked at it.

So imagine my shock when I noticed that the previous 7,088 went to THIS: (!)

birds of a feather

I really want to do this. They are feather extensions. You get them braided into the roots of your hair. They last for quite a while and you can shower and style them with the rest of your hair.

Sadly I can't do it while I'm here with Disney. Maybe for my birthday?

photo thoughts

I'm not really bug on gardening, mostly because I hate nature (trust me, we've never gotten along). But I feel like I could handle a couple of cute coffee cans of herbs and flowers. Plus I like the coloring

I'm still going through a fascination with Elizabeth Taylor. She's just so gorgeous!

I kind of love how each one of the states is given a sterotype according to themsleves. I hate Utah's but I'm kind of proud of Washington's.

I love how asymmetrical this is

My mother did this in our old house in my sister's room. I love it. She has great style, I want to do it in my own future/ non-existant home

And I love this! It's kind of like, country/don't give a darn. I love the pop of color and the rough wood.

*I just swallowed my cough drop while trying to type this. I almost died!*

I really love the mismatched chairs! And it's so white!
