Note to Self

1- Always wear socks from now on (wore slip-ons to school today and it HURT!!)

2- Always keep a hat on me (my ears are going to fall off)

3- Keep tissues with me at all times (icicles formed in my nose, ouch!!)

4- iPhones were NOT made for Idaho. Must use fingerless gloves

I HATE Rexburg, yes it's December so it's obviously getting cold. But Rexburg has redefined the meaning of "cold" "freezing" and "OUCH!" And the worst part of it is that it's not even gotten to the worst part. It's only 15 degrees with wind. Pretty soon it will get down to -20 degrees... with wind. I'm dying! I am literally freezing to death! And another horrible thing is that I feel like such a wuss! There are people who are from Rexburg and Idaho Falls who are used to this kind of weather, this is just the balminess of fall to them. They walk around in just sweatshirts and jeans, on occasion they'll wear their hood up but nothing more! Then in my french class, the guy that sits next to me walks in in his normal attire of a button up shirt, a zip-up hoodie and jeans. Now granted he is from Canada, but I wanted to grab him by his thin cotton collar and shout "Why are you crazy?!"

At least I've come to the realization that I am a Pacific Northwestern. I shall never live in Idaho or Utah after school. I'm sorry those of you that are fellow Idahoans or Utahns, but you're all crazy and your driving sucks...

Christmas Wish List

So my lovely friends and family keep asking me what it is I need for Christmas, but I don't really NEED anything. I think I've gotten to the age where, yeah, getting presents is nice but I'm not really DYING to get anything. So here's a list of things I would like to have. I'm not asking for these things directly, they're either things that would be fun to have in the future, that would make my life easier or that just sounded cool to me at the time. But no matter what I end up getting, I know I'll be thrilled with it.

Not Thankful for the week before Thanksgiving

This week is CRAZY! I can't seem to keep my head in my books. I am SO antsy to just get home for Thanksgiving. I've got a Book of Mormon test that closes tomorrow; I'm debating on just taking it now and getting it over with. But the thing is that my teacher never gave us a study guide, he's letting us use our BoMs but other than that he didn't even tell us what's on the test! Then I've got a French test tomorrow as well, and I'm so beyond lost in that class right now. I blame the inappropriate Canadian next to me and the girl with really cute shoes everyday (their names are withheld for their own safety...). Not to forget, the three papers that are due tomorrow for my film class, the movie I have to watch and the two quizes I have to take on it. Then there's the online Book of Mormon blog I have to do. Now I'm not complaining about the fact that I have to do these homework assignments because they really are quite simple. It's just the fact that I have to do all of them before I leave for thanksgiving!!

I haven't even told you about the French presentation I have to write DURING the holiday weekend...

I'm thinking I should just get the Swine Flu again and tell all my professors that I'm in quarantine... again...

Getting Back in the Game

This blog has been seriously unused. I thought that the only people who ever looked at it was my sister and the occasional visit from my friend back home. But after my first college roommate scolded me for no updates, then I felt seriously guilty. So I'm going to try again. With a new make-over; because you always start anew with a fresh face, I'm going to attempt this again. But who knows, maybe blogging is just not my thing...

House Renovations!

Jeff is currently putting up the closet doors. So when he's finished with that and the mantel downstairs, then I'll post the remaining photos...

Thanksgiving means thankful for guns...

For Thanksgiving, most of my family came down to Wendell Idaho where my sister-in-law's family live. I didn't know this until coming to school in Idaho, but on thanksgiving, the typical thing to do is to shoot shot guns. I had never even TOUCHED a gun before so I was terrified out of my mind to shoot one, but it was freaking AWESOME!! I even hit 5 clay pigeons!
