i love my job!!

Yesterday was my last day of training at Flik's Fun Fair!!

I'm so excited to finally come out of the cave of It's Tough to be a Bug. I was a little nervous with the whole pushing of the thousand buttons. But I got over that really fast. Instead I discovered a new nemesis... grouping. Grouping is the act of counting people to get the exact number of people for the next ride. It's a nightmare for dyslexic people like me. Thank goodness I've got ten fingers, or I'd be a mess. But the thing that throws me off is the people!! They can never make up their minds!! PLEASE!! Save my brain and just decide if you want the child to sit on your lap or not! For Pete's sake!!

But it's SO much fun! I'm going to be working with people I already know since we share the same break room with them in Bugs. Everyone's been really encouraging and helpful. Plus I love seeing all the little kids out and about. It's just a fun and happy environment.

We were learning about closing procedures for the different attractions, so we stayed after the park closed. It was gorgeous. If you ever have the chance to be in California Adventures at dark, take a walk through Bug's Land. The four-leaf clovers glow a beautiful green and everything looks so colorful and just... magical (yup, I said it...).

I just love my job! Where else would you work under giant four-leaf clovers? Or get to push bright colored buttons all day long? Or get to play with bumper cars or over-sized animal cracker boxes?

I love my job

-There is no greater relief than finally being able to go to the bathroom after holding it for so long. I have a bladder of steal, and with that means that I can sometimes forget that I had to go in the first place. More interesting things came up

-I only like Yogurtland. I'm not too big on ice cream or frozen yogurt, but this stuff is amazing

-My best friend Kendall from Disney World is engaged!! Alyssa and I had come up with the order that we believed we'd all end up getting married. Kendall was first. It has begun.

-I have a roommate that talks to herself. All. the. time. And loudly. I don't even know how to handle it. She talks to celebrities that she's obsessed with: Taylor Swtift, the Jonas Brothers, Hillary Duff... granted this is a 21 year-old female. Some times I can't even handle it.

-When I watch War movies (currently watching Band of Brothers) I get more worked up because of the animals than the actual people getting shot

-Today I saw a commercial for Petco and there was a little white dog. I miss Pippin. I was freaking out the whole time :(

uno

Yep...

I'm back into the world of single adults.

So to celebrate my singularity, I'm going to go to Disneyland and watch the new parade alone and then go see Pirates 4 by myself.

Today has the potential of being hilariously horrible or stereotypically depressing...

I'M GOING HOME!!!!

Just for a week.

I have so much to do! I haven't even started packing and I have to leave for the airport tomorrow... yikes. Oh well, I do better under pressure.

Now I'm just doing laundry and watching Extreme Couponing on TLC. It's making my shopping habits feel really inadequate.

Ugh. So much to do and I really hate flying.

too much fun

So I moved next door. Finally I was able to get out of my horrible apartment Luckily one of the girls next door decided she'd had enough of Disney, so I took her place. It's actually really nice. They apartment is a lot nicer and it's great to actually live where I spend most of my time anyways. And I don't have to lock my bedroom door to keep unwanted people out, nor do I have to worry about people stealing my food! The only thing I have to worry about is getting enough sleep. These girls are just too much fun!

decisions

There are a couple of things on my mind... purchases and decisions

I've had my current bed spread for almost five years now, and although I still love it, I think it's about time for a new one. And I found this one at Urban Outfitters and I really love it. The only thing is that it's almost $80. If I think about the investment angle, it makes sense, especially if I got so much use out of the one I have now. It's just a lot of money... but I love it! I think I just need someone to convince me and help cure me of my shopping guilt.

And then there's these: They are beautiful and SO comfortable. I already have three other pairs of Toms, but these have laces and they're a pretty generic color so they'd still go with everything. I've been getting rid of a lot of shoes; shoes I no longer wear or shoes that are falling apart. And I already know how comfortable they are, so again, it's a good investment... but they're $70...
And then I'm getting my hair cut this week. I'm still trying to grow my hair out but it's been almost a year since my last cut, so I need to get a trim to make it a bit more healthier. I'm going to keep the length, but I want to try something different. New bangs! I love the 60's hair cuts. I want to try them out. The only thing I'm worried about is hating it. I've had the same bangs since junior high, pretty much. So I'm ready to try a new thing. Maybe like Zooey Deschanel. It's a bit more subtle.

catch-up

Things have been NUTS. So here's a brief synopsis of the craziness:

-I moved. Thank goodness I escaped the clepto and difficult roommates. Now I'm living with Steph and Kelsi from next door. They're awesome and we're having an amazing time.

-Sooooo... just like people predicted. I met a boy at Disneyland. He's my boyfriend and he loves Star Wars. :D

-Mother's Day without my Mother :(

-The Pirates 4 Premier happened. It was crazy busy. Although I was not working during it, I did hear the crazy screams. Steph was working on the black carpet (she TOUCHED Johnny Depp!) and I got to try on her costume! Haha

I even had the socks on!!!

Yes, this is Ashley Tisdale, but if you look at her right hip, close to the guy in the grey sweatshirt... That's Steph!! With the straw hat hanging on her back.

-The Man and I went to Universal Studios, where I conquered my fear of the Jurassic Park ride.

-I got my one year pin!! I have officially been working for Disney for 1 Year!

-My best friend and Disney girls came to see me and we played for a couple days! (pictures will be posted)

-M and B got married!!

-School is DONE! (Until September...)

-I still love working at Disneyland (I guess that's not really a big change...)

photo thoughts

Ok, it's a toy, but it looks JUST like the trams at DWD, only without the horrible loud noise or the cab that smells like B.O.

Are you serious?! Why don't we still have this?!

Brilliant. I love all of these phones

I kind of want to try that head-wrap

Um, yes. Definitely, yes.

Gorgeous.

Is she wearing his hat? So cute.

So these are actual shirts that are made for big-headed children. Zippers on the shoulders. I don't have any children, let a long a husband, but I feel like I should stock up now, hahaha. Just kidding!!

I really want to go back to Thailand. I miss all the colors and the patterns.

Niiiice

I really love screened in porches

So cute. I think I'm going through a vintage-photo phase

My sister-in-law did this with her bookshelf. It really looks awesome and turns it into a piece of art

Isn't she gorgeous? I feel like Cher is really under-appreciated. My mother looked like Cher when she was younger. Gorgeous. And still is.

That's kind of scandalous but true:
