St. Pete's Beach

So one week I was having a really bad, well, week... So one of my really good friends Jill from work invited me along with her roomates and their friend to go down to the beach and stay in a hotel for the night. At first I thought it would be some little cheap dive but when we got to the Postcard Inn, it was like something out of a Domino Magazine! It was decorated very retro/beach boy's style. It turned out to be pretty cheap for five of us. About $30 a person with two double beds and a couch (my bed). It was RIGHT on the beach. When we got to St. Pete's, about an hour and a half outside of Orlando, we checked in, walked on the beach a little bit and then went to dinner at this little beach dive place with AWESOME ribs and creepy bar maids with dreds and tobacco in her mouth. When we were done, we went back to the room and chilled out... staid up WAY too late and was extremely "punch drunk" laughing and everything both funny and not.

The next morning we went and laid out on the beach. It was about seven, so we grabbed some continental breakfast at the cute little nook and swam in the ocean a bit. Two of the girls had to go back to Orlando. Jill and her roomie Hope and I spent the rest of the day laying by the pool and eating lunch at this little sand-shack for burgers.

I can't tell you how wonderful it was! There was NO humidity and it was totally chill. It was the perfect way to escape from the stress and just have fun with friends!
