thought

-There is no greater relief than finally being able to go to the bathroom after holding it for so long. I have a bladder of steal, and with that means that I can sometimes forget that I had to go in the first place. More interesting things came up

-I only like Yogurtland. I'm not too big on ice cream or frozen yogurt, but this stuff is amazing

-My best friend Kendall from Disney World is engaged!! Alyssa and I had come up with the order that we believed we'd all end up getting married. Kendall was first. It has begun.

-I have a roommate that talks to herself. All. the. time. And loudly. I don't even know how to handle it. She talks to celebrities that she's obsessed with: Taylor Swtift, the Jonas Brothers, Hillary Duff... granted this is a 21 year-old female. Some times I can't even handle it.

-When I watch War movies (currently watching Band of Brothers) I get more worked up because of the animals than the actual people getting shot

-Today I saw a commercial for Petco and there was a little white dog. I miss Pippin. I was freaking out the whole time :(

Lyss

You know those people you meet once and you instantly know you love them? You know those friends who can shock you with their wisdom in a text? You know those people who know you better than yourself? And do you know those people who love you and support you even when you make a huge mistake?

Yup. I do.

Homesick of a castle? Oh yeah

I'm kind of homesick for Disney World. And I'm freaking upset that I'm missing the Christmas decorations!

Yeah that's right, I AM an Alumni

So today was the farewell meeting for those people who were accepted into the Disney College Program. It was SO much fun! There were all these people so excited to go and they had so many questions. Since there were so many people and so few campus representatives they asked us Alumni to stick around and help answer any questions. It was so great to be surrounded by these people who wanted to hear all about it.

Afterwards I stuck around to talk to the campus reps and we all just sat around swapping stories from our programs. It was SO fun and it totally made me miss it all but at the same time made me totally excited for my new adventure.... and they gave me the balloons they had left over so I was even MORE excited!!

Who doesn't freaking love balloons? And p.s. this face was not meant to be photographed but it explains the joy anyways

I've got plenty to be thankful for

Being thankful during hard times can be hard. So instead of listing things in my life that I'm thankful for, I'm going to focus more on the people in my lives. It's the people in my life who have truly blessed me. I strongly believe that it's the people in my life who have truly made me who I am. So I'm making a list of the people most important to me...

*Dad- We may not have the same beliefs or too much in common, but he's always there to support me. He keeps my head on the ground, and he's always there to ask me "are you sure this is what you should do?" I know he will always support my decision but he always helps me to think so I can know I'm making the right one. We've gone on so many adventures and he's literally shown me the world. I can't wait for our many more adventures! EuroDisney? ;)

*Mother- She's been my best friend all my life. Our relationship always felt more like a partnership than a mother-daughter relationship and I love her for it. Her opinion always matters (I hate it when she doesn't "care for" my clothing options haha) and her advice has always helped me live my life. Thanks for paving the way for me and being such a strong example to me.

*Joe- For being the 2nd patriarch and father to me. You are an amazing big brother and I will never take for granted all that you've done and sacrificed for me growing up and what you still do for me today.

*Stacey- You're not just a sister-in-law, you're a friend and style guru!

*Shelly- For teaching me how to be a girl. You taught me how to cook, sew, even put on make-up. You taught me patience and obediance. It's because of you and Joe that I tell people I didn't have siblings, I had four parents. You always took care of me and I'll love you forever for it.

*Sue- We lucked out majorly in finding you and adding you to our family. You made my Dad into a new man and it makes me happy to see how happy you've made him. I love you for loving my family and for all the fun adventures you've shared with me.

*Lisa- You are my crazy second mother. I love watching movies with you for your reactions. You have taught me SO many little things. How to properly pack a suitcase, how to keep a kitchen space clean while cooking, and how to bargain shop. I love our song game... I never give you enough props for all the hundreds of times you've won when I've only won two or three times.

*Tabitha- You are one of the best friends a girl can have. I love that we can live states apart and still be so close. I miss our summer of tie-dye, long boarding, and movie marathons. I love that I can alway count on you for distraction and total relaxation.

*Kristi- You are the strongest person I know. You've been through so much and yet you still manage to be there for others. You love me without any judgement and you always give helpful advice.

*Steven- You are hilarious. You never cease to make me laugh.

*Karen- It's nice to be looked-after after looking-after for so long. It may drive me nuts sometimes but it means a lot to me that you care so much. I miss your laugh, your chocolate chip cookies, and our Journey bed-dancing.

*Alyssa- I love your blunt and sarcastic humor, your comforting hugs, your laugh, and "P.S"s. I love that we can drive in a car for 4.5 hours and not stop talking the whole way there.

*Trysten- Thank you for being there for me every night this summer. You were my wind-down and you always listened to me without judgement when I needed you.

*Kristy- Thank you for being there for me in the mornings. You were my pep-talk for the day when I didn't want to go to work and face all that crap. You made me strong and I miss your smile.

*Katie- Thank you for your laugh. It brought us all together. Thank you for your calm and your crazy. And thank you for always being excited about Disney, it kept things magical for all of us.

*Kendall- Thank you for our shared jokes. I miss dancing with you, quoting Sword and the Stone and playing at MK. Thank you for always listening to my stories and making me feel funnier than I really am.

*Jill- I have never laughed so hard, so often with someone. Thank you for our late-night laughs and our sleep-overs in our room and for always making it smell like breath in the morning.

*Allison- You are my artistic inspiration. You bring music into my life (literally) and you make me feel really cool while still pointing out how totally dorky I am. Doctor Who for life!

I have been so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving and try to think hard about the many people who have blessed you in your life. I'm thankful for you!

Do people read this?

Ok, so I've obviously been going a little crazy with the posts. I just counted and I posted 4 times today... thats a lot.

So I've been wondering... who would be reading this? Is this interesting to you? What would you like to see here? More of me? More features? More pictures? What?

And here's another thing, there have been a couple posts from some new friends like miss T. from Norway (Welcome! I've never been to Norway but I'd love to go!!) and Christibear from New Mexico (a fellow Disney College Program Alumni!! Where/when did you work there?). I'm excited that you've found me and I'd love to hear more from you guys.

How did you find me? Leave me post... Just say hi... I need to know that I'm not just writing to my mother and three friends haha!

I don't know, I felt like I needed to end this with a picture... kind of an introductionary thing. I'm in the middle and the two cute girls next to me are Disney friends from the college program in Disney World. Haley (L) worked in Disney's Animal Kingdom at the main gate and Ashley (R) worked in Disney's Animal Kingdom as well at the attraction Mount Everest

And the Magic Continues...

So for all of the people that do a college program with Disney, there is a very common disease called PDD (Post Disney Depression). Side effects include: tears to any and every Disney song, uncontrollable tendency to talk about inside Disney jokes with Disney-friends around non-Disney friends, strange cravings for rides, pupils turning into the shapes or three interconnecting ellipses, and the tendency to jump at any mention of the word "Disney".

I can't help it. Although I loved my job and my roommates, and I totally loved going to the parks for free; certain people and bad experiences with the people I worked with have made it so I have NO desire to return to Florida. Plus the weather was just too much to handle.

But I still have this uncontrollable desire to work with this company that I love so much. Also, since I don't have many options for a place to live this summer... (I know I have many options from people who care about me, but there's a difference between a home that's mine and a home that belongs to someone else). So I'm determined to find something for myself, and I've discovered the perfect decision...

DISNEYLAND!!!

That's right... I'm going back to work for the Mouse. I'm going to apply for an internship with Disneyland in Anaheim California. And this time I'm going to apply for a position in Guest Relations which means I'll be working with VIPs and doing tours. I'll be one of those girls walking around dressed as a Jockey, leading people with a riding crop!

That'll be me!! (In the skirt)

I think I have a really good chance for it too. Since I've already gone through a program, there's an extremely high chance of me being accepted and given the job of my choice. Plus, I'm applying for the term that goes from April 2010 to January 2011. So my being there for a good nine months shows my dedication to be there. ALSO! With my standing with the company and my status as a previous cast member, I'll be getting better pay!

The meeting is this Wednesday and then the application process will just fly by, so I'll keep you updated! Wish me luck!

My Crazy 21st

I'm SO tired because it's really late and it took forever for my pictures to load so please forgive me for not going into too much detail here. It was kind of a stressful week with things going on and then school starting. I was totally looking forward to heading out of Rexburg and down to Provo for the weekend. My really good friend and Disney roommate Alyssa and I headed out friday evening after finishing a majority of our homework. The drive was long but relatively smooth. Over the weekend we were staying with my Disney room-roommate Trysten. She and her sister live in their grandparent's basement and they were out of town for the weekend so it was all us!

Saturday, we woke up and went to breakfast at Kneaders where they have the worlds best french toast! We met up with some of the other Disney girls for a short while. It was fun but we all agreed that it was weird seeing each other outside of Disney. After a while, we went our sepparate ways for some to do homework and others to get errands done. Alyssa and I went to a mall and got our nails done... then of COURSE we HAD to go to the Disney Store!!! It was SO heartbreaking!!! We got very homesick for Disney World. Afterwards we all met up at Trysten's to formulate a plan. We decided we were hungry again so we would go out and grab something to eat at Panda Express. As we were driving down there we saw this big banner across Center St. that said there was an Indian Festival going on in Spanish Fork. We were feeling adventurous so we decided to head over there.

Trysten and her sister Kalen had lived in India before so they had all of these gorgeous clothes. We convinced them to wear their Sari's and they even gave us some authentic "Puffy pants" and everyone got a jewel to wear on our brow. We felt pretty legit. The festival was held at the temple where they have Harri Krishna or the festival of colors. It was sweet! They had Llamas roaming around that you could pet. There were dancers to watch, henna tattoos (although crazy expensive), food, shopping and dancing inside the temple. We looked around, and went in to the temple and danced. It was crazy fun! And a LOT of weird people. Trysten and Kalen bought some henna stuff. They knew how do to it themselves and we figured it would be cheaper and we'd get bigger designs that way. After hanging around for about an hour and a half we headed back to Trysten's place.

We decided that for the night, we would hang around, eat junk food (of course) and watch a movie. Trysten was such a sweetheart and bought this awesome chocolate cake and TONS of sugar! But of course, since it was my big 21st birthday we HAD to play a drinking game! No worries, there was no alcohol involved. But since we were all Disney nerds we decided that every time someone said anything Disney related or any inside joke from our time in Disney World, we all had a chug a dixie cup or liquid. We started with the easy stuff; water, apple juice, lemonade, etc. But when that ran out we moved on to the harder stuff; coke, sprite, orange soda, or milk. It got to be a lot harder than we thought. But we decided that the end result would be that whomever peed first had to streak outside in their bra and underwear. The game continued on for most of the night until Katie was about to burst! Only she had just gotten her Henna tattoo done and it wasn't dry, so Trysten's sister Kalen sacrificed herself for Katie. Katie changed into a robe and Trysten put on this Sleeping Beauty wig she got in DW so none of their neighbors would notice. We lined up on the side of the road and Kalen BOOKED IT! There were no cars as she was running out, but then as she was heading back in, a car came toward us! That made her run even faster! She grabbed her robe and ran straight into the house! We were all so shocked we just kind of stood there. The car stopped and we saw there was a guy inside it! He was looking at us so we RAN into the house and he kept honking at us and then sped away! What a rush!

After that, we all totally crashed, after a scramble for everyone to empty their bladders, we turned on the movie Juno and we all fell asleep watching it. Alyssa and I had to leave in the morning around 930 and everyone else had early church but we all crashed around 1.

It was a great night and I had such a wonderful time with those girls. I had missed them terribly. We always had good times in Florida and I'm so lucky that I was able to have them with me on my birthday.
