How do you know when it's appropriate to call someone your best friend?

I've got the two best friends from home. We've been friends since youth (or some level of it) but when you're older and meeting new friends, how do you know when they qualify?

I also never know how to introduce them. What if you come out to say it and you're like "[Blank], this is my best friend [Blank]" and then you're like "WAIT! What if we're really not best friends?!" It's not like dating, you don't or shouldn't have to clarify that kind of thing.

So how do you know?

disneyland update

So tomorrow I have a very important meeting with the head of the education department of the Disneyland College Program and Internship office.

I've talked to him a couple times about being interested in networking with different areas in the Disneyland resort. He seemed genuinely interested in helping me so we set up a meeting to get to know each other. He wants to learn more about me and what I'm interested so he can help me find different areas that I might be interested in.

We're going to walk around the offices behind Toontown and take a walk around the park. I'm actually really excited about this opportunity. I think this could be my big step up!

Wish me luck!

photo thoughts

Yeah, that's me. Doesn't really look like me though, the angle my friend took the photo makes my eyes look HUGE!

Even hott Marilyn had a cheesy smile. We all have one

I wasn't allowed to watch Pokemon (because it is believed by some members of my family to be animal abuse...) but I think I need this child

No wait... I need THIS child. I'm totally going to try this on my children

I like the mis-matchedness

I kind of miss wearing my red lipstick

They sell these in Disneyland. I've never gotten one but they look delicious...

You are one bad boy Ringo

Oh my business... I cannot convey how much I seriously love bread. Too bad bread really doesn't love me

I wish I could pull off those bangs

AHHHHHGGGGGG!

I was so tired after work. And I kind of couldn't wait to go to bed.

But after a really great hug and a couple of text messages, I can't go to sleep!

I can't wait for saturday.

i miss pippin

He's going to go live in Texas in August.

Poor guy. I have to transfer custody for a little bit longer until I can find our home in Idaho.

I've never been to Texas. Houston seems pretty lovely. Lots of fantastic people there. I'd love to meet them.

But for now Pip is in NYC and I'm in California. So sad. I miss him.

guilty

I just bought this

I've lost a lot of weight over the last year. And I have always wanted to get to that point where I felt comfortable wearing a bikini, but I still want to stay modest. And then on top of it, I found this vintage swim suit. So I think I deserve it.

black caterpillars

I used to hate my eyebrows.

I thought they were just HUGE! And on top of that, I happen to have one of the most over-expressionate faces ever. Slut. I can't help it. I don't wear my emotions on my sleeve because they move to my face too quickly.

But I've kind of learned to love them. I'm not a shaver. I pluck my eyebrows. I just recently this year started getting them waxed but that's very rare. It started like this:

I was visiting my Dad and step-mother when Sue asked if I wanted to have a spa day. It was great. We always have a ton of fun on our spa days. We get our nails done and she gets a facial. Well I had just finished my pedicure and the little Vietnamese girl was about to get started on my nails when she kept looking at my face with a strange stern expression.

Finally she waves her nail file around her face and says, "You want eye-brow wax?"
"Uh, no thanks." I would rather NOT have hot wax dripped onto my face and have folicles ripped out so close to my eyes.
Two minutes later. "You not want eyebrow wax? I do really quick."
"Thanks but I'm fine." ok... um still no...
Two minutes after that. "Wax is really good. Cleans it up. No hurt."
"Uh..." Oh MY GOSH! Is there something wrong with my face?! Am I that hideous?!
"... o k ..."
Well, the wax really wasn't that bad. It was relatively great and it really did turn out really good. And then I just tried to maintain it with plucking the odd hairs. And I went back to her to get it waxed again. I'm a fan.

But the point is, I kind of love eyebrows. They really do frame your eyes. And I love mine because they're big and black. They draw more attention on my pale face so I hardly ever wear eye makeup.

And I love the expressions you can do with them! I love to scrunch my eyebrows or raise them really high. Do it. It feels good. And see if you can raise one eyebrow at a time. My brother and I are really good at doing the one eyebrow raise. And my sister is really good at wiggling her eyebrows really fast. I think it runs in the family.

I would love Marilyn's

photo thoughts

I am going to do this in my home

meet my parents
I swear my parents were Sonny and Cher look-a-likes in high school. My mother was a tall, skinny, babe with long straight black hair. And my dad just had a lot of hair haha.
Don't you just want to chase them?!

I miss my long monogomous drives to and from Utah

I NEED this swim suit! I've been searching every where for a high-wasted vintage bikini

Truth.

Also still craving my solo roadtrips

And the black room on campus. Good times spent there. Glenn...

I would suffer through camping if I could camp in this. Looks like a giant tea-cozy
